Chris & Tabitha's Wedding at Pond View Farm
Two of my favorite things about being a photographer are meeting new people and building relationships. I have had the privilege of meeting incredible people, hearing their stories, connecting over various topics, and challenging myself to bring their photography vision to life. Chris and Tabitha were different, though. I knew from our very first Zoom meeting that they were "one of a kind", their photos would mean so much more, and their wedding was going to be one I'd remember for the rest of my life.
We met in Annapolis for their engagement session last July, and Tabitha kept telling me how awkward they are in photos. Umm, that couldn't have been further from the truth. I barely had to pose them because their love for one another is so real and evident, that I just followed them around and captured them in their element: together. When I did pose them, they giggled, snuggled, whispered funny things (and nicknames ;-) ), and simply enjoyed each other's presence.
Fast forward to Saturday at their wedding. Chris could hardly contain his excitement to marry Tabitha, he was so relaxed and enjoying every moment, and he and his groomsmen were AMAZING in front of the camera ("this is our boy band album debut....go")!!!! Tabitha was the MOST relaxed bride I've ever met, had the best and most fun bridesmaids, and had the most sentimental "first look" with her Dad (either my lens was blurry or I was crying along with them....).
And their families....I cannot say enough about how welcoming, loving, and FUN both families were and how much I love both of them. I felt like I'd known them my entire life and I was just there taking fun photos. My stomach hurt on Sunday from laughing so hard, and my heart was filled with such joy for the time I spent with such authentic, beautiful people.
Tabby and Chris, thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer. You've had your fair share of hurdles in life and they've only strengthened your bond and love. You're an inspiration to everyone around you! I love you both so much and wish you a life of love, happiness, and a ton of dancing.
