U.S. Army Veteran, Warrior in Civilian Clothes

"F.E.A.R. has two meanings. 1. Forget everything and run 2. Face everything and rise. The choice is yours."

I could not describe this Veteran any better than this quote and, for those wondering, she chose option two. Melissa Leuck epitomizes mental and physical strength, courage, determination, and the act of rising above her fears.

Not only did she look the enemy in the eye in the Army, she looked several other enemies in the eye in order to overcome her darkest hours, months and years.

She has barreled through all physical and emotional barriers that tried holding her back and dragging her down. She proved that she wasn't going to be a negative statistic. Instead, she's creating her own statistic with the #catchaliftfund and showing the positive impact phyical activity and working out is having on her life.

To receive a review from Melissa was similar to winning the lottery. It was the greatest honor photographing such a warrior at the #warriorfitweekend in Westport, CT, and I am forever grateful for the impact she has had on my life. xoxo
