A Rustic Barn, Fall Weather, Wedding... Perfection
I had the privilege of meeting Laura when I was twelve when she and a dear family friend were college roommates. We saw one another frequently for many years and then were able to catch up when our paths crossed as adults on the treadmills at Merritt Athletic Clubs, Bagel Works in Timonium, and most recently as neighbors. I had the honor of photographing Laura and her beautiful family last Fall, and when Laura and Tim asked me to photograph their wedding I was giddy with excitement. To have the opportunity to photograph a person who you have known for so many years, in so many stages of both of your lives (both good and bad), and to witness and capture one of the happiest days of her life is simply overwhelming...in the most amazing way possible.
Laura is, hands-down, one of the most organized people I have EVER met. Let me repeat. EVER. MET. Her attention to detail is like nothing I have ever seen before, and every time we talked, I was even more blown away. When we met for the final run-through, I knew that this wedding was going to be stunning, and I was so excited to photograph every detail and second of this night. Little did I know that the people in attendance were going to make everything even more incredible!
Tim and Laura had family and friends come from all over the world (England, Australia, and Canada to name a few of the countries) to celebrate their love, and boy did they celebrate :-)! Even before the ceremony started, I knew this was going to be a wedding I would never forget. From Roger's officiating, to the Best Man's speech, including a glossary for us Americans; the relationship between Laura and her Matron-of-Honor, Cheri, to Laura's daughter, Zoe's English accent to make Tim feel at home in the United States; Laura and Tim's choreographed First Dance and Tim's choreographed dance(s) with his groomsmen and college roommates :-); from multiple men hanging from the rafters after several glasses of bubbly to the dance floor never being less than 99.9% full the entire night ;-), I will say it again, this is a night that I will never forget.
Laura and Tim, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing your special day. The love that you share is palpable and it was an absolute honor to spend the evening with all of you. I have never had so much fun at "work", and I cannot thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to photograph the love that you share with one another as well as your family and friends. Laura, your hard work paid off as every inch of your barn looked absolutely gorgeous. I wish you both nothing but a lifetime of love and happiness, and many more days filled with laughter and joy.
Thank you again, so much! Love Always,
Meghan
PS...please tell your friends that my schedule has been cleared for their Sydney wedding....whenever that may be ;-). xoxo
